Public Consultation Exercise
The owners of 19-21 Market Place are preparing a planning application for a proposed
redevelopment and would like to invite members of the public to view the proposed plans
prior to this being submitted.
Members of the design team will be on hand to discuss the proposals and to answer any
questions that you may have.

Project Description
The site is situated in Wokingham Town Centre and covers an area of approximately 0.4 hectares.
The existing shop units in 19-21 Market Place consist of long and narrow retail units at ground floor and office accommodation at upper levels.
The proposal involves the demolition of 19-20 Market Place and partial demolition of 21
Market Place (with the front façade that’s looks on to Market Place itself being retained) and
the creation of a new 3-4 storey mixed-use commercial and residential scheme. .
The proposal also includes a public square and a private landscaped courtyard on a podium deck concealing the car parking below.
