Project Description
The site is situated in Wokingham Town Centre and covers an area of approximately 0.4 hectares.
The existing shop units in 19-21 Market Place consist of long and narrow retail units at ground floor and office accommodation at upper levels.
The proposal involves the demolition of 19-20 Market Place and partial demolition of 21 Market Place (with the front façade that’s looks on to Market Place itself being retained) and the creation of a new 3-4 storey mixed-use commercial and residential scheme.
The proposal also includes a public square and a private landscaped courtyard on a podium deck concealing the car parking below.
A Resolution to Grant Planning Consent was given in February 2024, subject to conditions and a Section 106 Agreement.
